Electrification Maintains Momentum as Data Centre Investments Support Growth

The energy transition, grid modernisation, investment in renewable energy and digitalisation are driving continued growth in global electrification demand. Nexans' results highlight the sustained strength of investment in energy infrastructure and next-generation power grids.

Data centres are among the markets contributing to the growing need for reliable, efficient and resilient energy infrastructure. With its advanced cable solutions portfolio and global manufacturing network, Nexans continues to address evolving requirements in this sector.

Nexans Türkiye contributes to the Group's growth through its manufacturing, R&D and export capabilities. With its production capacity, engineering expertise and export network, Nexans Türkiye supports the Group's electrification strategy.

Türkiye Offers Significant Potential in R&D and Manufacturing

At its facilities in Denizli and Tuzla, Nexans Türkiye develops and manufactures flexible cable solutions with high levels of fire safety, exporting to more than 50 countries, particularly across Europe. As AI and digital transformation continue to drive investment in data centres worldwide, Türkiye's manufacturing and export capabilities in this sector are gaining further importance.

Atilla Kurtiş, Nexans Middle East and Africa Regional Director, said that global electrification investments are creating significant opportunities for Türkiye:

“Modernisation of energy infrastructure, digitalisation and new investment opportunities driven by artificial intelligence are increasing global demand for cable and connection solutions. Electrification is gaining momentum across all the markets in which Nexans operates. The Group's results demonstrate that this transformation is not a temporary trend, but a long-term structural growth opportunity.

“Türkiye is an important part of this transformation, thanks to its strong industrial infrastructure, engineering capabilities and strategic location. The solutions we develop at our facilities in Denizli and Tuzla are used in many markets today, particularly across Europe. We continue to strengthen our position in international markets, especially with our high-fire-safety solutions for data centres, energy infrastructure and critical facilities. As Nexans Türkiye, we will continue to play an important role in this transformation through our R&D, manufacturing and export capabilities.”
