Trust is gained through acting professionally and with integrity and fairness. We are judged not only on what we do, but also on how we do it. Customer and Market Orientation, Global Team Player, Take Responsibility, Operational Excellence, People Leadership: these competencies that are important to us must be reflected in our ethics and our behaviour.
Nexans has grown rapidly in recent years. New companies and new teams have joined the Group. We must share references and common ethics. By observing demanding ethical standards, we will maintain and reinforce the trust and respect of all who are involved in our Group’s activities. We will then be able to continue to grow successfully and contribute effectively to the society in which we live.
This Code of Ethics and Business Conduct is intended to help individuals to act on behalf of the Group in their everyday work in a manner that is beyond reproach. It forms a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility program presented to and adopted by the Nexans Board of Directors on 25 November 2008. All employees of the Nexans Group must comply with the letter and spirit of these principles.
The desire to improve financial performance and the existence of demanding business conduct standards are perfectly compatible.
